Welcome! Listed are my picks of comics that I would buy. My main reason for the pick
is the storyline sounds interesting. Another reason is that I find the art of the cover
something that I would like to have. While collecting for investment is a solid reason
for buying a comic because I read what I buy potential investment yield is not that
important to me. However, if you are interested in comics as a long-term investment (prob. 20-30 years minimum) then I would suggest buying first issues of most of DC and Marvel comics, and select issues of Dark Horse and Image comics. To make such a collection make sure the comics are bagged and boarded and do not open up to read. You may want to wear disposable gloves in handling them to avoid leaving oily residues from your skin on the comics. Whether for fun or for investment, I recommend maintaining some kind of record system wherein you note which comics you have. The minimum data per comic purchased should include: Title of the comic, Publisher of the comic, Issue year and number of the comic, Date of purchase, Cost of the comic, Number of this comic that you purchased, and Notes. The Notes should focus on condition of the comic, what variant cover it may be, and whatever else may be noteworthy in your opinion. Your comic inventory records are probably easily done with a computer using Excel workbooks. Excel is a fairly easy format to use and there is alot of help online to answer any question or problem you may have in learning it. If you prefer a paper system then I recommend using a 4 x 6 file card system which allows for easy alphabetizing of your purchases. The same info, as noted above, can be easily noted on the 4 x 6 cards and have plenty of room for other important information you may wish to add, such as notes on current market value. Whatever your reason for buying a comic, I hope that you will find the titles that I find of interest to be as interesting. To help add interest to each title I have made each title into a link to another site online that will provide more information and/or art that will give you an idea of what the book is about. The most recent titles may not have links at the time of posting but may be added during the next Previews Catalog update. Note: some titles are for Mature Readers and have covers that show female breasts which may be offensive to some readers. And on those links to retailers, such are used because I could not find anything else that was appropriate and no recommendation is meant as to making any purchase from said retailer. I also include, if possible, a YouTube video of an upcoming action figure line as per the current Previews and related links or links to other action figure lines noted in the current Previews.
