AUGUST 22, 2012, early Wednesday afternoon at Walmart, Santa Maria, California It has been awhile since I really took the time to take a gander at the toy aisle. It was interesting to discover that there were no other customers gawking at the latest lines of WW Elite (Series 15), TMNT, Avengers, Spiderman, SW Vintage and regular lines, Batman's Dark Night, Transformers, Toy Story 3, and Power Rangers Super Samurai action figures. There was lots of product and I was impressed by the quality and availability of what was present. But looking at the prices I could well understand why. The general price of the regular 3.75" action figures seemed to be around $9.96 USD. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles line was a couple dollars lower at $7.77 USD. And the real stick-out was the Transformers line of Bot-Shots prices at $3.96. While there were many figures that were tempting I opted out to purchase only two:
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles KRAANG While I am a fan of the Turtles, I found that these figures did not appeal to me except for Kraang, Shredder, and the Foot Soldier. Splinter was just too RAT-looking! And April's hour-glass legs are kinda funky. The foursome Turtles looked OK but I guess I prefer the older sculpts to this newer incarnation! The droid housing Kraang looks very cool and has two very cool looking weapons.

Transformers have always been of interest to me but I have avoided collecting any
due to their higher prices. My favorites are Optimus Prime, Megatron, and the Dinobots.
All the figures on the pegs looked cool and it was hard to really decide on which to
buy so I got Megatron. These figures are tied to a battle game which will only be available
at Transformers.com for a limited time. Inside the packaging is a battle code and
instructional pamphlet that can be used in accessing the website.
