LINK OF MERIT:

For all women who are planning on preganancy-CHECK THIS SITE!
I was borned with a bilateral complete cleft. While mine is due to genetic hereditary coupled with an improper diet and supplementation (there was none as my parents survived through the depression) folic acid in balance with the use of Vitamin B-12 should be seriously considered in prenatal care and development. Begin such use before preganancy!

UPDATES:

June 28, 2007
In the process of cleaning out my parents and grandparents stuff, I ran across some items which my dad picked up while he was overseas during World War II. These were a pair of wooden shoes and two rattan (?) purses from the Phillipines and two garments from Japan: a kimono and an unidentified garment. I shall be posting images of these items and possibly some comments under a section titled: Souvenirs of War sometime next week. These are as much items of art as items of personal usage. They were all collected in 1945.

COMING LATER THIS NEXT WEEK

Have added some of my poetry that I found while cleaning out a closet. They are all from the mid-1960s. I did not date most of them. I have so many I cannot believe. Will be adding more later. I also found many many drawings, some just little bits of art on scraps of paper that I shall be adding to the site via Photobucket. And, of course, more on my family. I definitely have decided to add a page or two on my younger brother, Michael Ray Copeland. He died back in March of 1987, takened by lymphatic cancer. It seems so strange to have lost him, yet I realize that whatever there is left of him in this world (apart from his rotting flesh) will be what I can recall and what I have found in the pile of old papers that I have been going through as I sought more information on myself and my past. And I have been reading the letters that I have found from my mother to my dad when he was in the army during World War II. I have learned some information that I will share with you and hope to post on the net one entire letter that I will scan into my system. I intend to shred them all but will leave that one and what info I gleam from the others on this site. What has really struck me is the realization of the humanity of my mother, something which I never did realized. Much is lost in between the "dos" and the "don'ts" that seem to be the prevalent theme of a child's relationship with its parents. Fragility of the parent is not allowed. Perhaps it is time for pedestals to fall?

Have finally gotten through boxes of photos, cards, letters, and miscellaneous memorabilia. I shall be posting up images of some of the most noteworthy photos or those of particular interest or novelty. Will add what comment I can.

I am delighted to have been able to piece together a webpage on my Creek ancestorage on my mother's side of the family. It was a shock to me to discover information that trace the lineage back to the Irish settler who came to America prior to the Revolutionary War. More pages will follow.

May 15, 2007
On this rather dreary overcast day I have finally gotten these initial pages completed for the time being. I definitely feel that this is a big improvement. I have yet to decide on the fate of my front door. It may survive?

May 13, 2007
The reconstruction of my existing website begins. I have decided to do a major makeover on the front door and first page. The reason is simply put: the need for more space for more pages! Gone will be the banners which I had been using and the single page of art on my front page. Additional changes are yet to be determined.
